Garbage
Short Temper Gallery
Tokyo, Japan
June 1999

A garbage diary, a video of rotting fruit, photos and poems of urban waste - all components of an exhibition by four young international artists living in Tokyo, work which takes the concept of garbage as its foundation and explores it in four different mediums. Each artist professes an interest in the physical changes caused by deterioration, rot and the wear and tear which affects everything (and everybody) in the urban environment.

Video by Julia Barnes, poetry by Brian Heagney, photographs by Andy Palaski, mixed-media paintings and an installation by Erik Sanner comprised this exhibition.
