Daniel Rosenbaum studied under Elizabeth Murray and Jennifer Bartlett at the School of Visual Arts where he received received BFA in 1979. In 1981 he was invited to the Wyoming Ucross Foundation where he immersed himself in nature, transforming his art making process significantly. At Brooklyn College in 1994 he studied history with Jack Flam and painting with Karen Giusti for his MFA. The next year he was included in a group show at the Ronald Feldman Gallery curated by Mike Ballou. He was awarded an Elizabeth Foundation grant in 1996, and his drawings have been in the flat files of Williamsburg's Pierogi Gallery since 1997. Rosenbaum's works have been exhibited at The New American Talent show (Austin, Texas), the San Angelo Museum (Texas), PS1 (New York), the David Castillo gallery (Miami), and Lars Bohman (Stockholm).
