Linda Griggs is an artist-curator. Her most recent work has been with Abrazo Interno gallery, kicking off the art season in September 2011 with "Find & Combine" which dealt with the very different results of artists appropriating imagery. It featured Judith Simonian, Amy Hill, Elizabeth Condon, Mary Ann Strandell and Carla Gannis. She worked to link Abrazo Interno with the larger Lower East Side gallery community, coordinating the opening dates and connecting with the LES BID which resulted in Abrazo Interno being included in their website, guide and full page New York Times ad.
She followed that show with "Like Blueprints:Make No Small Plans", artists using blueprint inspired imagery or actual blueprints, including Dennis Hlynsky, Debra Jenks and Allen Hansen.
In 2010, she curated both "Sweetness and Light" and "Where There's Smoke" at Hampden Gallery, UMASS Amherst. These simultaneous shows garnered a full page in the art section of the Daily Hampshire Gazette.
"Sweetness and Light", a show about candy cakes and sugar, featured Emily Evoleth, Julia Jacquette, Tracy Miller, Lynn Talbot, Lori Elliosn, Richard Baker, Tom Bogart, Ya Ya Chou, Sally Curcio and others.
"Where There's Smoke", about fire, smoke and explosions, featured Steve Mumford, Gregory Crane, Chris McCaw, Kathryn Lynch, Elizabeth Keithline, and others.
She has curated numerous shows through her project e32, an art projection-discussion-networking series held at 5c Cafe, NYC.
In 1995 she produced Scope Art Gallery, an virtual art gallery that also featured shows she curated as well as a stable of artists that included James Esber, Amy Sillman, Greg Stone, Brian Rutenberg and others.
